Montana Wheat and Barley Committee Grants
Funding promoting local research and developing trade markets around the world/
Awarded quarterly: January, April, July and October.
U.S.A. Dry Pea and Lentil Grants
The U.S. pulse crop industry is dedicated to scientific research advancing dry peas, lentils, chickpeas and dry beans. Research enhancing the development of pulses provides opportunities to demonstrate how their use and consumption positively impact agricultural systems, the food industry and public health.
Submission deadline: Late fall
Specialty Crop Block Grants
The purpose of this program is to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in Montana. For purposes of the program, specialty crops are defined as fruits, vegetables, peas and lentils, dried fruits, horticulture and nursery crops (including floriculture).
Submission deadline: Early March
Noxious Weed Trust Fund
Provides funding for noxious weed research projects, state and community education/development and local cooperative - landowner cost share.
Submission deadline: January 6
